On 12/31/04, at about 2:20PM, the BankNorth Branch at 600 Loring Avenue in Salem, MA was robbed by a white male, 30-40 YOA, wearing a green, hooded winter jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt under the jacket, dark sunglasses, dark pants and dark shoes. Suspect passed a note and indicated he had a gun. Suspect also gave the teller a brown paper bag to put the money in.

On 02/26/2005, William Dumais was arrested for unarmed robbery of the Bank of America in Vinnin Square in salem. During an interview Dumais confessed to several other bank robberies, including this Bank North robbery on 12-31-2004. The tip leading to arrest was called in by a retired Marblehead police officer.
