Subject entered the 7-11 store at 390 Washington Street in Braintree and presented a counterfeit 20 dollar bill for the purchase of a candy bar. Sales clerk became suspicious and tested the bill with a detection pen and found the bill to be fake. Subject fled after the clerk told him she was going to contact the police. Subject described as a white male, early 20's, 6' tall, thin build and short dark hair, wearing a dark jacket and jeans and a baseball cap. Believed to be the operator or passenger of a newer, white or gray Nissan Altima or Maxima.

Christopher Joyce of Braintree has been arrested for this offense. He is also accussed of passing counterfeit bills in Weymouth and 11 other South Shore communities.
