On 05/10/2005 two Asian females entered Sears and successfully purchased a vacuum cleaner over $250.00 with a fraudulent American Express Travelers Cheque. The suspects attempted purchase more merchandise, but the sales associate requested identification. The females stated they were going to retrieve their identification cards in their motor vehicle, but they never returned. Sears Loss Prevention personnel advised me that the Sears in Springfield, Ma has had similar problems with the same fraudulent American Express Travelers Cheque. Any agencies that can identify these two females and/or would like additional information can contact the Auburn Police Department
