On 9/20/06 a heavey set black female stole a pocketbook out of a Pediatrics Office in Lincoln. Female claimed to be looking for a job. Credit Cards were used on the same date at various stores on Rte 1 in Mass. Photos are from a CVS on Rte 1 in Ma. There is also another female involved who purschased a DVD Player at Cirtcuit City on Rte 1. Female appears to be either hispanic or light skinned african american. She has a small child and stroller with her. Three checks were also used at two Brockton Mass Stop & Shops on 9/22/06 & 9/23/06. From Loss Prevention it appears that an African American bald headed male passed two of the three checks.

Female in photo is also a suspect in two prior stolen pocketbook cases in Lincoln RI, reported on 2/18/05 (05-343-OF) & 4/11/06 (05-691-OF).

On 1/11/07 a Stop and Shop Lost Prevention Officer saw a photo submitted by this department. He came in with video footage of the female who was identified as Deirdre C. Brown of Providence RI. Brown had been arrested by Seekonk Police on 7/25/06 for passing stolen checks at the Stop and Shop.

Cranston Police got a tip from a newspaper article they had done on the suspect. Cranston arrested the suspect on 1/12/07. Suspect also known as Rontoya L. Brown 8/5/70 and Ladesha Brown 11/12/81.
