Salem Police took at report from CVS located at 426 Essex Street in Salem regarding bogus American Express gift cheques being passed. The manager related that 4 $100 gift cheques were passed at the store within the last week. The cheques were determined to be bad by a bank located next to the CVS where the checks were passed. Suspect is a black female, approximately 5'5-5'6, medium build wearing glasses. The signature that was signed is "Madeline Wright" on 2 of the cheques and "Melissa Simms" on the third. The sequence of the cheques passed is AE 577 833 395, AE 577 833 143 and AE 577 833 404.
