Karen DaCosta has been convicted of Attempted Parental Kidnapping. She also conspired to have the child's father killed. DaCosta drew the criminal case out for 2 years by changing lawyers multiple times and while the jury was out she jumped bail. She was convicted in absentia and there are arrest warrants in the system. The investigating officers believe that DaCosta is mentally unstable and as a result is dangerous When she was arrested she did have weapons in her house.
