On Friday, 05/01/09, at 11:03a.m., officers responded to Rite Aid Pharmacy on Commonwealth Road(Route 30) for an attempted armed robbery. The suspect had aimed a handgun at a pharmacy clerk and fled outside(Route 30 side) to a waiting vehicle, prior to the arrival of police. Nobody was hurt and no money/narcotics were taken.

The suspect was described as a W/M, 30's, 5'6"-5'9", 140lbs. -160lbs., wearing tan khaki pants, baseball cap(red or green), sunglasses, and sweatshirt over a collared shirt. Suspect M/V was an older model Lexus, 4 door sedan, silver in color. The M/V was operated by a second suspect, W/M, 60's, gray hair, wearing a scally cap.
