On 05-29-09 at approximately 23:30 NRPD responded to one of our local Chinese restaurants to find that the owner had been assaulted multiple times with a meat clever by one of his employees. Although seriously injured from the attack, the owner is expected to survive. The assailant was positively identified as Weifu Zheng (05-21-64). Zheng fled the scene before officer’s arrival and is still at large. Zheng should be considered armed and dangerous. Suspect has two vehicles and it is unknown where these vehicles are, or which one Zheng may be operating.
