On Monday, August 17, 2009, at approximately 23:00 hours, an armed robbery occurred at Honey Farms, located at 714 Southbridge Street, Auburn, MA. A lone Hispanic male entered the establishment and approached the counter and requested a pack of “Newport regulars.” When the sales associate turned around to retrieve the cigarettes the suspect walked around the back of the counter and retrieved a black semi-automatic handgun from his right front pocket. The suspect ordered the sales associate to give him the money and repeatedly threatened to kill her and told her that she would die if she did not comply with his commands. The suspect asked for the victims’ purse and he told her if he did not give it to him she would die. The suspect fled traveling south on Rt-12 on foot. No vehicles were seen in the area.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’9” with a husky build. The suspect was wearing long blue jean shorts, black sneakers and black shirt with white sleeves. The suspect was wearing a black & white baseball cap with the LA Dodgers logo on the front, wearing a black and white bandana underneath the hat. The suspect was wearing large dark sunglasses as well. He also was wearing a long white and/or silver necklace. The suspect had numerous tattoos on his arms, hands and neck. Viewing the video, it also appears the suspect may have a tattoo of a tear drop under his left eye.

The victims purse contained several credit cards, personal identification bearing the name Jacqueline Armendo, DOB: 09/09/1982. Several of her credit cards were used in the city of Worcester after the robbery. Anyone that would additional information can contact the Auburn Police Department Bureau of Criminal Investigations at 508-832-7780. The case officer is Detective Eric Dyson.
