On October 29, 2009 Aubuchon Hardware reported an ongoing shoplifting problem. They stated they have been finding empty packages of miscellaneous knives around the store. On this date they were able to locate a male suspect on camera after the crime had occurred. The suspect is a white male, approximately 50 years old, wearing brown sweatshirt and blue jeans. Employees do recall seeing the suspect in the store in the past, but are unable to identify him. To date he has stolen seven knives totaling $106.43 in losses.

On January 7, 2010 Aubuchon's contacted our department and advised the suspect in the ongoing shoplifting case was in the store and was now attempting to leave. Sgt. Bonney responded and was able to conduct a MV stop on the suspect as he attempted to leave the parking lot. Suspect was identified as Rafik Movsesian of Acton. Movsesian deliered parts for a Subaru dealer and would stop in Aubuchon when he was in the area. Movsesian was arrested for 1/7/10 incident as he was found with another stolen knife in his vehicle. Four additional charges of shoplifting have been applied for.
