Medford Police respectfully request any information/assistance in locating Richard L. Neary. He was indicted in Middlesex Superior Court and awaiting trial for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

He defaulted before trial. The Mass Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB) has since re-classified Neary as a Level 3 offender.

Warrant #: 0781CR1691/ Issued May 11, 2009. Please verify the warrant in WMS before taking action.

Neary has an uncle, James F. Neary (11/12/1931), with a possible address of 149 Ferryboat Lane, New Braunfels, Texas. We received a tip that Neary was in Texas working as a short-order cook. He also is used to working carnival-type events.

A Florida resident viewed Neary's picture on MMW and made a call to Medford PD. Medford called Zephyr Hills Florida PD who made the arrest. He is being charged in Florida for failing to register.
