On December 9, 2009 at 2:30 pm a suspect attempted to rob a USPS letter carrier and the carrier was stabbed.The carrier fought off the suspect. The suspect ran on Mount Bowdoin Street toward Mallow street and then went up Mallow street toward Bowdoin Street.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, medium build, late 20’s/ early 30’s, 6’, 200 lbs, wearing black construction boots, black jeans, white t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt, and a black scully cap. The suspect also has a medium sized diamond earring in his right ear and Ms. White stated the suspect had “white knuckles”. The knife that was used is described as a small silver pocket knife where the blade flips out. The suspect left the scene with the knife.

The victim received various wounds to back and hand.
