Bedford PD is investigating the bank robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 287 The Great Road in the Great Road Shopping Center. On Saturday 01/16/10 the lone suspect attempted to enter bank at 8:51 A.M. before branch was open for business but door was locked. Suspect returned at 9:04 A.M. and presented a demand note to the teller. He was described as possibly being a Hispanic male wearing a dark colored hooded winter jacket, light colored pants, sunglasses and a black baseball cap with a large $ sign logo. Suspect was wearing blue latex surgical gloves. Possible vehicle involved is a green foreign type vehicle. No plate number or better description available at this time. Suspect was last seen on foot heading towards the shopping center exit. Please contact Bedford PD Detectives at 781-275-1212 for additional info or if you are investigating a similar incident.

Bedford PD arrested Hector L. Marrero on 01/20/10 with assistance of FBI / VCTF, Waltham PD, Carlisle PD, Middlesex Sheriff's Department and MSP K-9 Unit. Marrero also charged with Brookline Bank robbery in Bedford on 01/19/10.
