On Friday, 01/19/2010 at approximately 12:00pm a bank robbery was reported at the Lakeside Branch of The Savings Bank, 599 North Ave. in Wakefield, Ma. The suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. Suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The male suspect attempted to disguise himself as a female. The suspect was a white male, possible late 20’s, approximately 6’2 with a slim build.

Suspect was wearing a long gold woman’s head scarf with tassel like fringe on the edges. The scarf was tied around his head and gathered at the back of his head. Dark colored hair was showing from under the scarf. Suspect was wearing a dark colored sweater possibly with a white shirt underneath and dark colored jeans. Suspect was wearing large dark sunglasses and dark gloves. He was carrying a dark colored bag, possibly a handbag. Suspect was wearing bright white makeup on his face and bright red lipstick.

The pictures from the Wakefield bank robbery on February 10 are somewhat clearer.

On Tuesday November 22, 2011 an arrest was made on this case. Patrick Oconnell of Arlington MA was arrested for robbery and larceny.
