The Wells, Maine, Police department reports arrested a Mr. Shafer shortly after an attempted bank robbery on May 5, 2003. His arrest led investigators to the identity of Ms. Ranni, who is being charged with this attempted robbery and the sucessful one on May 21st of 2003.

At 1:17 PM, this bank robber entered the Fleet Bank in Wells Plaza. This female presented the teller with a note and fled the bank on foot with cash. She is described as a white woman, 5'4", 140lbs, 25-35 years, thick brown, shoulder-length hair with bangs. She wore dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, denim jacket and carried in a black nylon bag.
