Mr. Hayes, of Canton, Maine, was arrested today, (May 14, 2003), by Haverhill PD. He robbed the Haverhill Co-Op Bank at about 11A.M. and was arrested shortly thereafter.

This man walked into the Fleet Bank on Elm Street in Danvers. He used a note indicating he had a weapon. He brought a burlap type bag and had teller place money in bag. He stole several thousand dollars. He may have left in a small compact vehicle, possibly a Nissan or Toyota. He is a white man, 6'02" - 6'03", in his 50's, husky build, glasses, dark colored hat with no emblem, dark colored zip up sweater or jacket.
