On 3/9/2011 at approx. 10:18pm, suspect entered Tedeschi’s Food Shop in Hanover and approached the counter. The suspect removed a yellow can of lighter fluid from his pocket and squirted the clerk with the fluid. Suspect removed matches from his right pants pocket and told clerk, “Give me all the money or I will light you on fire!” Suspect also stated, “IF you scream, I will light you on fire!” Clerk gave the suspect money and suspect fled on foot out the front entrance. Video surveillance recording shows the suspect to be a W/M, approx. 5’10,” heavy set, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with red tee shirt underneath, jeans, black high top sneakers with tongues hanging out front. Suspect appears to walk with a gait. The hooded sweatshirt was recovered adjacent to the crime scene area.
