Suspect broke into residential home in north Waltham via the front door. While in the home, the resident who had been out, returned home and found the suspect in the home. Suspect then fled out the back door. Suspect stole some rare coins, some of which were recovered the following day.

The suspect has been identified as Vincent P. Ghetti, 6/12/1962 and is currently homeless. He has ties to the Natick area as well as Hyannis and it believed to be on foot at this time. He is also known to hide out in motels/hotels when on the run from law enforcement.

Ghettis is a white male, 5'06" tall, brown hair, brown eyes and has a thin build.

On 1/27/2012, based on a joint investigation between Waltham police detectives, Veteran’s Administration police and the US Marshal’s, Vincent P. Ghetti was arrested in Westchester County, NY by a US Marshal’s Task Force. He was subsequently arraigned in Westchester County on the MA fugitive from justice warrant and later rendited back to MA and arraigned in Waltham District Court on 2/02/2012 on charges of Breaking and Entering and Possession of Class “B” substance. Ghetti is currently held in Suffolk County jail.
