The suspect forced entry into the Islamic Center of Burlington by prying open a rear door. The suspect made his way into the building targeting donation boxes.The boxes were empty. The suspect attempted but failed to gain access into the office by forcing the door open.The suspect subsequently gained access into the office by crawling through the lowered ceiling of an adjoining room. The suspect stole a safe. The safe is about 5 feet tall and weighs over 100 pounds. Contained in the safe was cash and other negotiable items.
