On Sunday, October 28, 2012, at approximately 3:30 PM, the Braintree Variety Store at 153 Hayward Street in Braintree was robbed at knife-point. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9”, with dark hair, wearing a black jacket, and camouflage fitted Red Sox hat. Prior to the robbery, the suspect was inside of the store playing $1-$2 scratch tickets and scratching the tickets with a folding pocket knife. The suspect eventually proceeds behind the counter with knife in hand and steals a large sum of cash. The suspect flees the area in what is possibly a black Cadillac Escalade SUV.
