On Sunday, November 12, 2012 between 0400-0730 hrs., the Milford Police Department Detective Unit investigated a rash of five smash and grab break-ins into five local businesses. The following are the included businesses: Main Street Market, 315 Main St.; BP Gas Station, 80 Prospect St.; West Street Liquors, 61 West St.; CARQUEST Auto Parts, 336 Main St.; Sunoco, 100 East Main Street. All the break-ins are similar in nature, with front glass breaks and one perpetrator entering the establishments. All establishments suffered monetary losses in the form of US currency, bottles of alcohol, and cigarettes. The money was removed from cash drawers and two cash registers were removed from businesses by the suspect. Surveillance footage was obtained on the incidents. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'9 - 6'0 feet tall, slender build, facial hair on the chin area, wearing a red sweatshirt with unknown emblem on the front, blue jeans, black shoes, and wearing gloves.

The subject was arrested and identified by the Milford Police Department in the early morning hours of Wednesday , November 14, 2012 due to the diligent police work of patrol officers Robert Pavia, Joseph Fransesconi, Tood Testa, and Sergeant Michael Jones. The subject committed the same acts on three more businesses and was observed by police leaving Pete's Market located on Purchase Street in Milford, Massachusetts. The subject was subsequently arrested. The subject later admitted to all the break ins prior and on this date, including seventeen car breaks in Milford, Massachusetts during the interview process conducted by Detectives Jason Ball, and Tony Carneiro. The subject also admitted to additional break ins within the MetroWest area. Please contact the Milford Police Detective unit for any further information. Thanks for your assistance.
