The suspect, identified as Vincent "Vinny" Lucas (052463) held a 22 year old female captive at his residence. The suspect tied the hands of and violently assaulted and raped the victim. The suspect held the female victim bound and captive for approximately 12 hours until she escaped the next morning during a second rape attempt. The victim was physically injured.

Mr Lucas is a registered level three sex offender, although his whereabouts are currently unknown. Mr Lucas and his associates are known to prey on younger women, create a drug dependency and turn them to prostitution. Mr Lucas has 235 criminal arraignments featuring mostly violent offenses and including 22 ABPO charges.

There is currently a straight warrant for Mr Lucas relative to this case issued by Lowell District Court (docket 1311CR001433)

Mr Lucas was captured in Boston on 031213 by the Boston Police. He is currently being held on $50,000 cash bail. Thank you all for your great work in finding and capturing him so quickly
