On Friday May 31 at approx. 1325hrs the Marion Police Department responded to Pilgrim Bank on Front Street for a reported bank robbery. The suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money, no threat of a weapon was mentioned. As the suspect attempted to leave, a customer attempted to detain the suspect but was unsuccessful. This caused the suspect to drop a majority of the cash The suspect fled in a westerly direction towards Spring St and Route 6. The suspect is described as a white male, 5-10"-6'00" tall, thin build, wearing a gray "American Eagle" t-shirt, blue jeans and a green and white "Boston Celtics" baseball cap. The male was also wearing white gauze bandage around his head.
