The Stonington (CT) Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect and possible accomplices who were involved in the armed robbery of the People's United Bank, 12 Roosevelt Ave.,Mystic (Stonington), CT. The robbery occurred just after noon time on Monday, 6/24/13.

Immediately upon entering the lobby, the male suspect announced the robbery and displayed a semi-automatic handgun (unknown if real or facsimile). The suspect stated: “C’mon ladies, hurry up and put the money in the bag."

The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, either Hispanic or African American, 5’6” - 5’8”, 225 lbs or more, wearing black Champion sweatshirt with white drawstrings, sunglasses, possibly a neoprene balaclava face covering, jeans with rolled up pant legs, white sneakers and work gloves. The suspect was carrying a canvas bag.

A possible suspect vehicle is described as a 1996 to 1998 Buick Skylark, color tan, unknown registration.

The suspect may have been accompanied by another thin Hispanic male and Hispanic female.
