The person pictured entered the New England Jewelryâ??s store and asked the salesman about purchasing some diamond earrings. When the salesman handed the suspect the earrings with a value estimated at $3250.00, he tried to flee the store. Another salesman electronically locked one of two sets of exit doors to the building trapping the suspect in the building. He then started kicking the doors until the safety glass broke off from the door frame allowing him to flee the store. He jumped into a waiting auto and they drove behind the building onto the plaza access road. The auto was recovered a short time latter by police and was stolen from Rockland the day before.

Suspect in photos is described as 5'11" tall, medium complexion, short dark hair with dark stubble. Witnesses at the scene said the suspect spoke with an accent and was possibly Middle Eastern or Hispanic. Clothing description: dark pants and a plaid button shirt with several buttons undone.
