On Monday, January 20, 2014, an unknown black female entered Stop & Shop on Newport Avenue in Quincy and attempted to purchase a Master Gift Card valued at $500 with (6) $100 American Express Travelers Cheques, that were confirmed by American Express to be counterfeit. While the checks were being confirmed the female suspect left the counter briefly to return with an unknown large black male, before fleeing the store.
