On Wednesday, 03/12/2014, the Attleboro Police began an investigation into possible counterfeiting. Officer's had been called to Burlington Coat Factory where they took custody of three $100.00 bills. Two of those bills had the same serial number (#LE64563645A). The third bill had a serial number of #LE64563663A.

The bills were passed by two men. Those men are described as a white male (possibly Spanish) approximately 5'9" 165lbs, beard, blue jeans, black coat, blue plaid shirt, and white high top sneakers. The male purchased several items and paid with a $100 bill. The male left the store at approximately 1:01 pm. The male was possibly driving a green BMW.

The second male was described as approximately 6'3", 230 lbs, had a bald head, beard, wearing a red plaid shirt, jeans and work boots. The male purchased several items and paid with (2) $100 bills. Cecil stated the male left the store at approximately 1:11 PM and was possibly driving a white caravan type of vehicle.

The bills have since been confirmed as counterfeit.
