On 2/23/15, at about 8:20 PM, a white female successfully passed a $100.00 counterfeit note serial #HB83623361N at the Staples store in Framingham. The note was of poor quality, printed on a bleached $1.00 US Currency. The characteristics of the $1.00 bill were still very visible in the background.

On the same date at approximately the same time frame, a light skin black or Hispanic female attempted to pass another $100.00 counterfeit note at the Stop & Shop located about 1.5 miles west of Staples. The note had the same serial number as the one above and was manufactured in the same manner. When the cashier began to scrutinize the bill, this female stated she had to get another item, and promptly left the store accompanied by a black male.
