Hampton Police responded to a call from bank employees reporting a robbery at 11:56 a.m. Iinvestigation determined the suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a white collared shirt, blue shorts, sneakers, sunglasses and a Navy blue baseball cap. Witnesses described him as approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build and in his mid-30s. The suspect was last seen walking south from the bank on Route 1.

Detective Charleston reports this person has been captured.
