Unknown black male attempted to pass a stolen check at CVS in Reading and North Reading. Clerk denied sale because he had no ID. Upon investigation, the check was in a reported stolen pocketbook that was stolen from the victim's shopping cart at the Burlington Coat Factory in Shrewsbury MA on 12/22/04.

Suspect has been identified as Benjiman Clay Jr. Two arrest warrants were issued on 1/21/2005 by Woburn District Court.
