In the months of December and January, the suspects opened numerous accounts at Costco and BJ's Wholesale in Dedham using false names. The group used counterfeit checks to purchase over $2,000 worth of merchadise from BJ's. After speaking with Costco's Regional Loss Prevention, it was learned this group has stolen approx. $7,000 from Costco in Dedham, Danvers, Waltham, and Everett. The counterfeit checks used are invalid accounts from Eagle Bank and Eastern Bank.
