On July 19, 2005 the suspect approached the victim on Edgerly Road in Boston claiming he had car trouble and asked for help. The suspect claimed to be from Connecticut and that he could not make ATM withdrawals from his own bank account.
Over the next two days the suspect and victim went by cab to various Citizens Bank locations in Boston where the suspect gave the victim three Fleet Bank checks for a total of $10,000, which the victim deposited into his own account. The Fleet bank checks were written on a closed account. The victim withdrew $5,585 from his checking account via ATM machines and written check, and gave the money to the suspect.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, approximately 30 years old, 5'10", average build, with a moustache and beard.

On July 20, 2005 the suspect was in the company of a dark skinned black female described as approximately 30 years of age, with a thin build. We have no photos of this female, but a compu-sketch is available on our website at www.bu.edu/police.
