On August 18, 2006 at 4:40pm a white male entered the Bank of Newport, Washington Square Branch, Newport, RI wearing White sneakers, Blue runners pants with srtipes on sides, a light colored runners short sleeve shirt and Sun glasses, carrying a Satchel. Suspect stopped at a floor kiosk, wrote a note then passed it to a teller demanding money. Attached are Bank Surveillance photographs of the robbery suspect. Anyone with information or who recognizes this individual is asked to please call Newport Detectives James Hazel or Kevin Sullivan, 401-845-5763 or 401-845-5766.

As result of investigation Robbery suspect has been identified as: Robert T. Audette, DOB: 08/24/72, FBI# 308093VA1, RI BCI ID#10100245, Affidavit & Arrest warrant secured, entered RILETS & NCIC. LKA: Dexter Mannor, 100 Broad Street, Providence, Apt#830. Subject known to Frequent Providence & Newport areas.

On September 09, 2006 at approximately 18:09 hours Middletown & Newport Police Officers acting on a Tip, converged on the Sandpiper Cottages, Unit 21, 985 East Main Road, Middletown, RI and affected the arrest of Robert T. Audette on a warrant(s) for Bank Robbery and Failure to appear Superior Court Bench warrant. Thank you MA Most Wanted for your assistance!
