On Saturday, September 16, 2006 the suspect approached the victim at Commonwealth Avenue inbound and Charlesgate East, introducing himself as "Tom Woods". The suspect asked the victim for $24 so he could buy a bus ticket to Worchester. When the victim declined to give him any money, the suspect asked him where he was going. The suspect then told the victim he would walk with him. Approaching a Bank of America branch at 133 Massachusetts Avenue, the victim agreed to give the suspect the $24. Entering the bank lobby, the suspect then used intimidation to make the victim withdraw $140 from the ATM. The suspect took the $140, along with $20 from the victim's wallet and fled the area on an MBTA bus traveling outbound on Massachusetts Avenue. On Monday, October 2, 2006 the same suspect approached a male behind 6 Buswell Street, Boston and asked for money so he could buy a bus ticket to Worchester. The suspect persisted, convincing the male to withdraw money from an ATM machine located inside a pub at 822 Beacon Street. The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, between 30 and 40 yearsof age, 6'00" to 6'03" tall, slim build, bald or shaved head, no facial hair and dark brown eyes. When observed on 10/02/2006 he had a stud earring in his right ear and a "knot" on the left side of his forehead. A Compu-Sketch of the suspect can be viewed on the BUPD website at www.bu.edu/police.
