On Sept. 16,2008 At approx 2130 Hrs Inmate TORRES, Wallis DOB: 09-30-85 escaped from custody from the Massachusetts Dept. Of Correction. At the time of his escape TORRES was serving a 4-7 Year sent. for Drug Offenses.

The subject has ties to the Lawrence and Chelsea areas. TORRES is entered in NCIC and has an active warrant in WMS for the crime of escape.

Wander Junior Vargas Canela aka Wallis Torres was arrested in Switzerland on April 15, 2014 and extradited back to Massachusetts last Friday February 13, 2015. The subject is back in the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Correction where he will finish his sentence and be arraigned on pending escape charges.
