Detective Steve Blair of the Boston Police (617)343-5922 reports arresting this individual on the afternoon of February 13, 2003. He asks any departments with crimes committed by Mr. Meehan contact him.

This person stole the identity of a person who used to live in Newton and now lives in Rhode Island. He applied for a $10,000 loan from Banknorth via the telephone fraudently using the name. On 12/23/02 suspect went to Banknorth in Andover to sign paperwork for loan and produced a phony Rhode Island Driver's License using same name. The victim said that the suspect used his name with an old address of Dalby Street in Newton, Ma. On 12/26/02 suspect cashed the Banknorth cashier's check for the $10,000 at a branch in Boston.
