Subject entered the Stop and Shop on Grove St in Braintree on January 24th and attempted to cash a check at the customer service counter. The check was a fraudulent payroll check from Weston Copley Place at 10 Huntington Ave in Boston. Subject produced a fraudulent Weston Copley Plaza employee ID. After the clerk became suspicious and confronted the subject, he fled in a white, late model Cadillac. Subject is wanted for passing over $10,000 worth of fraudulent checks at Stop and Shops throughout Massachusetts.

Detective McLaughlin reports this subject is a Mr. Eric Darden of Mattapan and Connecticut. There are now warrants outstanding for Mr. Darden.
