The victim was on Dartmouth Street when he was approached by an unknown male who asked the victim to purchase a scratch ticket, valued at a cash prize of $1,000. He further stated that he was in a hurry to catch a train and did not have time to cash the ticket in. Convinced that the ticket was a winner, the victim went into Back Bay Station to withdraw cash, and paid the suspect $260.00 for the ticket. The suspect then exited the station through the Express Depot. Several minutes later, the victim attempted to cash in the ticket, which was discovered to have been altered by the suspect to look line a winner.
