The suspect entered the bank and walked over to the bank teller and demanded all of the money. The suspect lifted up his shirt exposing what appeared to be a explosivce device taped to his chest and threatened to detonate the device if his demand was not met.

The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He left a trail of money behind as he fled on foot traveling easterly on Blanchard St.

Daniel Shannon of Rockland was arrested on 3/25/10. He is linked to the Nowell robbery, the Rockland CVS armed robbery from 3/21/10, and possibly the Abington Marylou's robbery. Tips from MMW and interagency cooperation was crucial to his quick apprehension.
