On Sunday, June 13, 2010 at approximately 3:00 P.M., the Dartmouth Police Dept., responded to a hold-up alarm at C&S Variety store, located at 659 Faunce Corner Road.

The suspect was described as a (white male, in his 40s to early 50s, approximately 5’5”, 140 lbs., salt & pepper goatee, discolored teeth, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black gloves, reading glasses and a New England Patriots baseball cap.) The suspect was said to be armed with a black colored gun.

The employee stated the male entered and brandished a gun demanding she open the cash register. The robber then walked behind the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled in an unknown direction.

This suspect has been identified as Kerry M. Castello of New Bedford. Mr. Castello fled the area prior ro apprehension. Mr. Castello remains at large and is aware that he is wanted for this incident as well as several other armed robberies.

There are active arrest warrants for Castello. Castello should be considered armed & dangerous. Castello evaded police capture on 06/28/10 by ramming his vehicle, a black Ford Ranger, bearing MA reg. 24KA71 into a police vehicle.
