Wakefield PD case #10-11068 - On Monday December 6, 2010 at approximately 1130 hrs an unarmed bank robbery occurred at the Bank of America 2 Smith St Wakefield MA. The suspect walked into the bank, went to a teller window, and handed the teller what appeared to be a pink pillow case. The suspect also said “Sorry to have to do this”.

The suspect was described as being a white male, light skin, 40-50 years old, bright blue eyes, about 5’8” tall, about 170 lbs, and slim build. The suspect was wearing a baseball hat with a light colored brim, a dark navy blue Champion hooded sweat shirt (with hood up). There was Champion written on the left breast of the sweatshirt in small letters and a small Champion emblem on the left sleeve of the sweatshirt at the wrist, white sneakers, and he was not wearing gloves. The suspect had a white piece of cloth covering his face showing his bright blue eyes.

The suspect fled on foot out of the bank toward Water St with an undetermined amount of money. At one point it appeared the suspect may have picked up another bag at some bushes at the south west corner of the bank. No vehicle was seen.

This suspect may be the same suspect that robbed the Savings Bank in Wakefield on 10/18/2010 (massmostwanted.org #100677) and the Easter Bank in Melrose on 11/19/10 (massmostwanted.org #100713). For further details on those robberies see massmostwanted.org.
