On 5/27/2011 @ 2:10pm, the South Coastal bank in Rockland was robbed by a white male suspect who approached the teller with a note demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of us currency and fled the area on foot heading easterly on Church St.

The suspect was described as a w/m, approx. 5’10,” 30 to 40yrs old, dark hair, wearing dark colored baseball cap with yellow bordered emblem on front, dark colored sunglasses , gray long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and gray two tone colored “Asic” running shoes. Witnesses described the suspect as having a “5-o’clock shadow.”

The stance the subject used when talking with the teller is very similar to Case 20110235, Braintree Rockland Trust.

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force combined with inter agency cooperation & asstance from investigators in Braintree, Hanover, Rockland, Hingham, & Norwell, the suspect was identified as; Michael P. Gallagher DOB:1/26/79 apprehended & arrested without incident. Gallagher later confessed that he was the suspect in all five bank robberies in the towns listed above..
