Since September of 2011 Watertown has investigated 13 day-time burglaries in multi-story apartment buildings. Four of these incidents have the same MO, the door is compromised with what appears to be a combination of a prying device and shouldering of the door. The forced used has bent the throw mechanism on the deadbolts as well as damaged the upper hinge side of the door frame. Wooden doors, metal frames in drywall construction believed to be metal stud framing without adequate blocking. Suspects are a male & female team with a dog, dog has been involved in at least three breaks. They are possibly using Buick type station wagon vehicle but it has not been captured on video.
